VIC'S TAKE BOTH GAMES IN HOME-HOME GAMES VS. RAIDERS JHC

Friday night the Victoria's and Raiders JHC completed their home-home series with the Vic's taking both games on the strength of Friday's 6-4 victory.

The teams were tied after the first period at 2-2 , but after the second the Vic's lead 4-2 .

St. Vital extended their lead to 5-2 , but there was no quit in the Raiders, and they scored twice bringing them to within one goal with 4:04 left in the third.

The Vic's clinched the W with an empty net goal with 28 seconds left.

Vic scorers were :

Tyler Rubigny one goal , his fifth of the season four assists for 5 pts.

Ryland Nechwediuk had two goals, his first two of the season, and two assists for 4 points.

Blake Goretzki had one goal, his first MMJHL Goal , and chipped in 2 assists , for 3 points .

Aiden Anderson added three assists for 3 points

Brady Jaquet scored his first of the season as did Braeden Smith, scoring his first of the year and his first MMJHL Goal.

Congratulations go to Blake and Braeden on their first MMJHL goals !!

After Friday's games the Vic's Tyler Rubigny leads the MMJHL scoring with 5 goals and 7 assists for 12 points .

Ryland Nechwediuk is second with 2 goals and 9 assists for 11 points.

Aiden Anderson is fourth , with 1 goal and 6 assists for 7 points .

NEXT UP: The Vics visit the Ed Golding (East End Arena) on Sunday afternoon for a matinee vs. the Transcona Railer Express . Puck drops at 2:00pm
