Thank The Stripes

Hockey Manitoba's Thank The Stripes weekend is coming up from December 3 - 5, 2021 and we are asking Leagues, Minor Hockey Associations, and Regions to actively get involved.

Without our on-ice officials, quite simply, we do not have a game.  Officials at all ages and levels of hockey work tirelessly to ensure that our game is safe, fair, and played within the rules.  

Below are several ways that Leagues, Minor Hockey Associations, and Regions can show their appreciation for officials during Thank The Stripes Weekend:

• Get social! Acknowledge and show support for Hockey Manitoba officials with messages, pictures, and videos on social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) using the hashtag #ThankTheStripes.
• Coaches, players, and parents thank officials before or after the game.
• Announce Hockey Manitoba Public Service Announcements (PSAs) in arenas prior to games during Thank The Stripes Weekend.
• Provide refreshments such as water, Gatorade or snacks from the concession stand.
• Place Hockey Manitoba Thank The Stripes Poster in community clubs and arenas (on doors, on the glass, etc.)
• Present officials with a thank you card signed by the team.
